Select grade has less colour variation and low knot content which provides a clean and uniformed look. Great base for a clear varnish but also other types finishes. Select grade is valued for its versatility and simplicity. It has a clean and uniform appearance, perfect for modern, minimalist and traditional settings.

The rustic oak grade contains knots, pith ray, some sapwood and color variation enhancing the wood character of a herringbone pattern. The purpose of rustic grade flooring is to create a floor where character and contrasting appearance is desired. The rustic and random nature of rustic grade oak is perfect for those who prefer a more organic appearance.

Antique grade oak is a hand scraped rustic grade oak with minor cracks, defects and extra knots to create a flooring with old wood character.

The amount of waste varies with the pattern. The more elaborate patterns creates more waste.

Herringbone 10-15%
Square 10-15%
Ship deck 5% (a bit more for brick bond)

Oak Parquet Plank, Dark Brown Matt Lacquer, Nature KOPRANON

Matt lacquered parquet, planks in Nature grading, of Slavonic FSC®-labeled oak.

Wood harvested in sustainably managed forests

The Slavonic forests in Croatia are famous. They have been managed in a sustainable way based on very strict ecological, social and economic regulations for hundreds of years.

Sessile oak and Common oak are used for Bjelin's oak flooring, which are the same type of wood that is traditionally grown and used in Sweden.

Nature Grading

The oak's natural pattern and colour vary greatly. Therefore, the planks are sorted so that you can choose the look that suits your interior.

This grading has a nice pattern with variations in colour and texture. Knots and filled knots may occur, sapwood is allowed as well as variation in colour between planks.

Click flooring for a perfect result

Bjelin has the world's best click joint for flooring. Bjeloc 18 is the latest update of the locking system 5G®, which has been developed by Bjelin's sister company Välinge Innovation. Bjeloc 18 makes it easier than ever to click together a parquet floor. The floor is installed freely, floating on top of the subfloor without being nailed or glued down.

The room temperature should be between 18 - 24 ° C and the humidity should be about 30-60%. In this climate, both the floor and the residents will thrive. Use humidifiers during winter when the indoor heating may lead to a very dry indoor climate.

Stop dirt at the entrance! Place a shoe scraper on the outside of the front door and a large doormat inside. In conjunction with public areas/properties etc, a larger shoe scraper and a larger doormat is recommended. This significantly reduces the cost of cleaning and maintenance for the floors.

Clean the surface by vacuuming from dirt and debris which otherwise may scratch the floor.

Mop the floors if necessary with a well wrung out microfibre mop or a cloth. If needed, add a few drops of a mild synthetic cleaning agent. The floor should only be slightly moistened by the cleaning and the residual water should dry within 1 minute. How often the floor needs to be cleaned like this depends on the level of use and dirt it is exposed to.

Protect your wooden floors against all forms of water, wipe up any spills immediately. Furniture must be provided with plastic- or felt pads (never metal) to minimize scrathes and marks from furniture legs. The protective pads should be kept clean.

Lift furniture when moving them, do not drag furniture across the floor.
