What is hardened wood?

By hardening the wood, the floors become up to three times more resistant to impact and water. This means they don’t develop the typical deep dents and marks often seen in traditional parquet flooring. Hardened wood is significantly harder than traditional parquet. For example, if you drop a glass, the indentation will typically be much smaller or may not occur at all.

However, wood floors should still be cared for properly. Avoid dragging heavy furniture and regularly remove dirt and grit, which can cause wear. If damage occurs, it can either be repaired, or the affected plank can be replaced .
