How much flooring do I need?

Calculate the area of your floor and add approximately 5–10% to allow for cutting and installation adjustments. It is also advisable to keep spare planks in case you need to replace one in the future due to damage.

For herringbone flooring, allow for a higher material usage. If installing with frieze and border, you should calculate at least 20% extra material.

Example:
If your room is 5 metres long and 4 metres wide:
5 × 4 = 20 m²
Add 10% extra: 20 × 1.10 = 22 m²
You should therefore order 22 m² of flooring.
