When you receive your delivery, it is important that you check the goods for any damage. Damages or missing goods that have arisen or disappeared in transport but are not reported and noted to the forwarder directly upon receipt cannot be reported afterwards. If you do not check the material yourself, you must make sure that the person writing on the consignment note checks if something is damaged or missing. Do not write on the consignment note before you have ensured that the packaging and goods are intact. To facilitate any complaints, it should be stated on the consignment note that the goods are damaged. The driver must then also sign the consignment note.
The damaged or faulty goods must also not be used for installation. If this is done, you as a customer have approved the material in the delivery despite the transport damage and no new goods can be sent.
