As the mother of two young children, Amanda had to consider more than just aesthetics. While the floor choice might have remained the same regardless, its durability became a major plus. “I wasn't disappointed when I realised the floor we loved was extremely water- resistant,” she says, acknowledging how essential that feature has been with two little ones up to mischief involving water. “In hindsight, it was a stroke of luck.”
Amanda describes her interior style in three words: Scandinavian, minimalist and light. The home is a testament to these principles, with a palette dominated by white and beige tones, save for a few contrasting black details in window frames and door handles. “It’s not the most optimal combination with a 2- and 4-year-old, but there’s no other way for me,” she laughs.
