Bjelin wins the Negoce Trophy for its Contrast Collection
Bjelin has been honoured with the 2025 Negoce Trophy in the "Sustainable Construction Product Innovation" category, an award that recognizes the most innovative initiatives from manufacturers and distributors in the building sector. This prize, awarded annually by Négoce magazine, is a true benchmark for construction and trade professionals across France. This recognition highlights Bjelin’s commitment to offering flooring solutions that combine innovation, durability and environmental performance.
The Contrast Collection made Bjelin stand out in this year’s edition. This range of hardened wood flooring showcases the unique characteristics of Spačva oak and has been meticulously crafted through the fusion of cutting-edge technology and artisanal expertise. “We seized the opportunity to create a floor with more depth by working with our existing colours and enhancing the contrasts,” explains David Sarcinella, Managing Director for France and Western Europe at Bjelin.
By leveraging access to advanced R&D services through Välinge Innovation, Bjelin developed an innovative approach to enhance the natural structure of wood. Thanks to the groundbreaking Woodura technology used in these hardened wood floors, a sophisticated set of nine precisely engineered brushes was created to harmoniously integrate pigmented contrasts on the surface, highlighting the natural grain of the oak.
The Woodura technology also makes it possible to produce wooden floors that are more resistant, more durable and significantly more resource-efficient: their production requires ten times less raw material compared to traditional wooden flooring.
The floors in the Contrast Collection are also equipped with the leakproof 5G Dry locking system, offering easy installation. Made from FSC-certified European wood in Croatia, they are perfectly suited for both residential and high-traffic commercial environments.
At the award ceremony, David Sarcinella emphasised the company’s commitment to eco-responsibility: “Today, environmental responsibility in wood flooring manufacturing is more than a choice – it’s a necessity. Using fewer resources means extending their availability and reducing our impact.” Bjelin warmly thanks its teams in France and all its partners for their commitment and trust.
